Cyber Monday shopping…

12 hours later…
13:07
Hey, anybody around?
13:27
@Gryphon hey, yes.
18 hours with only one message doesn't happen too often round here.
Just wondering if anybody was around.
13:55
I'm not here
but I am getting sucked into pointless arguments in comments again :(
Someone wrong on the internet?
There's no rest to be had when someone is wrong in the internet.
Anyone have thoughts to share on that eugenics question?
@Green If that's opinion based then we're all going to die
@Green That ones starting a closing war. Good thing you can only vote once on each question. It's been closed, reopened without any edits and now there is a close vote again.
14:02
The thing is that eugenics was accepted scientific policy for decades, having been done it became morally repugnant but was it ever disproved or just abandoned for moral reasons?
I still hear the underlying thoughts behind it occasionally, "chavs shouldn't be allowed to reproduce" and similar
14:16
@Separatrix I think a lot of people have thoughts like that.
@Separatrix My guess is moral reasons. Selective breeding of humans should work just as well as selective breeding of dogs or horses.
@Green it does. And has been proven effective
Morally very questionable, but it has been done deliberately, as well as inadvertently in small isolated communities
Most of the arguments are with the premise of the question, that it would ever be needed. It's controversial, the premise may be incorrect, but that doesn't make it an invalid question.
So the real question is whether you could call it too broad
Hello.
@PatJ Hi!
Are we killing inferior races again?
2
14:23
@PatJ Yep
@PatJ That's the plan!
It's all the rage this week, special offers on genocide until Saturday
Ha, I missed worldbuilding!
I changed up my answer from commentary on why eugenics would be considered to a brief overview of how to do it.
@PatJ Welcome back.
First you pick on the communists
Then the trade unionists
Mind you, both those groups have effectively been driven out of the US. I wonder who they'll go for next, Muslims or Immigrants? Perhaps both.

2 hours later…
16:16
They've changed the reviews icon again.
@Bellerophon bloody ell
What wil they do next?
I say enough!

6 hours later…
22:22
Hmm, @Green is blue now?
@JDługosz He must be coming toward us very fast.
3
22:39
@JDługosz yep. Just to keep people guessing.
23:21
hey there @Green and @HDE226868
@Separatrix pretty much both at this point, albeit not without drawing quite a bit of backlash
keep in mind that trying to say "just enforce the immigration laws we have on the books" is disingenuous, because the hornet's nest south of us is what's causing folks to cross the borders into the US, and there's a credible case for them being refugees from said hornet's nest
considering the current admin's thrown sand in the gears of the credible fear process...
23:37
@Shalvenay hi!
