@githubphagocyte It does work -- it says you've approved.
(that was my tag suggestion)
;-)
@githubphagocyte While that does work, I feel guilty doing it.....also, something to keep in mind: if they're not in the room it takes about 15 minutes for a notification to appear in the notification bar (for anyone).

12:21 AM
@Shokhet thanks for letting me know :)

@githubphagocyte Although it hasn't gone through yet -- I think it needs one more approval for that

12:50 AM
@githubphagocyte I don't have enough reputation yet to approve suggested edits. :-( (I nee 31 more rep.)
People with review-edit privs: please check the queue on meta. Thank you.

1:02 AM
@MonicaCellio Thank you :-)

In fact, let me generalize that: if you have review privileges for any queue, please check the queues on meta occasionally. The orange number doesn't light up until there are a few items waiting and reviews are relatively rare on meta. So, please check to see if there's anything requiring action when you get a chance. Thanks!

The cannon question seems to be quite successful now

Indeed. Hitting the HNQ gets a lot of attention to an already good question

we seem to be stable at just under 3k visits per day and just under 10 questions per day
that's a solid base to build from

I hit the expanded privileges set yesterday. Got a cool mouse over effect on my nameplate now. Makes me happy for some reason
@TimB It is indeed!
Oh. Found this today. Really cool blackhole physics

Ok, that's really cool

11:08 AM
@TimB Isn't it though? Scientists just didn't have that raw graphical computing power and knowledge before. I can see this being the beginning of an excellent partnership between film effects studios and science

It's nice to see a sci fi film caring about getting the science right though
most have stuff I could have debunked in primary school

@TimB Truth. The Rule of Cool is paramount

Thanks for your great answers recently @DonyorM

Maxymiuk, a friend of mine, didn't enjoy guardians of the galexy because he was just sat there unable to believe how long winded they were about solving things.

Q: How magic and economy can reliably stand together?

trejderThis question assumes, that in any kind of magical world, any form of magi can create anything or nearly anything, but especially -- using only magic, can create gold, silver, money, gemstones etc. As good as any other kind of resources, that plays key role in that world's economic. So, for examp...

A good question, in my opinion. Just needed some help with the English

let me see if I can find the answer to that...
I believe the answer started talking about how this is one of the problems with D&D. Wizards should be in charge of everything and then intentionally started mis-attributing the plot of exalted

@Mourdos There are quite a few odd answers on that question. And the original poster seems to have an odd grasp of economics himself.

The only real answer that makes sense is "Wizards choose not to do it, because they can make enough to serve their purpose"

The answer that makes sense is that a theoretically infinite supply of any good but a finite demand makes those goods effectively worthless.

Any Java/Javascript/T-SQL/Sybase developers looking for work in the Watford/London area? The place I'm contracting for at the moment is hiring again...

12:11 PM
So having wizards that can do this for a while in a society will mean that gold is worth only slightly more than good cow crap.
@TimB I have some of that, but missing the key element of: "Watford/London" here in the USA
@TimB I'm near(ish) to the town of London, Ohio. Does that count?

Totally :P
According to Google that is only a 9hour 25m commute each way. At about £700 per flight (each way)

@Mourdos To get from London to London?

Yep

@Mourdos Seems reasonable. If the company would cover transport, I could work there for a whole 3 hours every day. Assuming I could sleep on the plane flights.

Wow. One flight is more than my monthly rent
You might as well just rent over here :P Cheaper

12:25 PM
@Mourdos In London? Seems fishy to me

Watford. Not quite in London
20mins by train to central london

@Mourdos Not too bad, then. My commute is 25mins by car

I walk for 20 minutes
I need to stop arguing for questions I've answered to be closed as too broad, etc.

lol
