I'm just using the same monitor and keyboard from my old machine. Since I do almost everything in Chrome, the computer doesn't look any different but for the black line along the bottom. it was more jarring when stack exchange got the black bar across the top. A couple of times I have forgotten and been startled by an icon looking different

So once again I've decided to get a little bit serious and bought an add-on pack that they had on super saver special that weekend.
I need it to reinstall the free base software that had been upgraded since the last time I installed it. It wasn't until I rebooted that I realized that it needed Windows 10.
So I bought a new computer to better use free software.
I have had quite the amazing day. Among other things, I think I found my new apartment. It is literally next door to the very first apartment I lived in when I first moved to Alaska 20 years ago almost to the day.

For over four months I have only left my apartment once a month for my infusion. In a few hours, I'm going to Anchorage's answer to Soho. It's an outing! I have a 6-foot walking stick. I'll use that.

And I have numbers and names from twenty years ago in my Google account: it has survived a large number of devices. Storing different numbers in different record is the most app-proof solution.
