It was crazy how quick and easy it was. It was harder to open the box than it was to set it up.

Doing everything in the cloud sure does make it easy.

And now I can make that software work that I paid 20 bucks for 3 months ago.

I'm just using the same monitor and keyboard from my old machine. Since I do almost everything in Chrome, the computer doesn't look any different but for the black line along the bottom. it was more jarring when stack exchange got the black bar across the top. A couple of times I have forgotten and been startled by an icon looking different

But I've been messing around a little with hitfilm for a couple of years.

So once again I've decided to get a little bit serious and bought an add-on pack that they had on super saver special that weekend.

I need it to reinstall the free base software that had been upgraded since the last time I installed it. It wasn't until I rebooted that I realized that it needed Windows 10.

So I bought a new computer to better use free software.

I have had quite the amazing day. Among other things, I think I found my new apartment. It is literally next door to the very first apartment I lived in when I first moved to Alaska 20 years ago almost to the day.

They are refusing to accept my back rent of five months.

They have already demanded my eviction in the initial hearing, and crazily there isn't much the judge can do in District court but evict me.

Well, I love love love the neighbourhood.

The apartment is about the same size and it has hardwood floors instead of carpet which I much prefer.

So you won't know what number you're calling unless you study the number itself in the list of results. Or it really depends on the app you happen to use.

In any case, I can't remember the last time I called anyone on a landline

I haven't plugged a phone into a landline for 6 years

And I have numbers and names from twenty years ago in my Google account: it has survived a large number of devices. Storing different numbers in different record is the most app-proof solution.

So, when the type of number is in the name, it's always easy to see.
