@ScottSeidman yeah, something based on the XR2206 is about the only analog approach you'll run into
and yeah...it's not promising -- Exar discontinued the part several years ago, and the knockoffs range from "passable for a hobbyist app, but not really to spec" to "welp"
@ScottSeidman are you OK with them having to use something that uses digital controls instead of analog?
if so, you could use one of the lower-end ADI DDS chips with a microcontroller driving it around

Q: First multi-pin electrical connection made in vacuum in space? Was it a part of a docking maneuver? Were precautions against cold welding taken?
