@NickAlexeev I'd get at least 16gb ram, with at least a 4gb video card (especially if you do 3d). Try and get NVMe ssd for the storage, or get a (samsung) ssd.

@laptop2d Is the video built into the Intel's processors AFG (any good) for Altium?

@NickAlexeev I've never been impressed with intel video, but I've heard the latest gen is better. If it were myself, I'd get a dedicated nvidia or amd card with 2gb or 4gb of ram built in.

@laptop2d This will need to be a laptop. Fewer video card choices. I can look among gaming laptops, though.

@laptop2d I think my sister company (HP) has gotten better with their laptops. Their ZBooks are pretty top tier. Their Pavilion product line... eh.... I'll hold my opinion on those...

@NickAlexeev Wouldn't Altium have a list of system requirements? I feel like there would be a mention of graphical requirements.
According to their website...

Recommend: High performance graphics card (supporting DirectX 10 or better), such as GeForce GTX 1060/Radeon RX 470 (HOLY MOLY THATS SOME POWERFUL STUFF)

Minimum: Graphics card (supporting DirectX 10 or better), such as GeForce 200 series/Radeon HD 5000 series/Intel HD 4600 (Holy moly, that's some weak hardware)
