I'm going to become an embedded system developer and I'm totally new to this field

I'd like to know the necessary requirements related to the electronics field for this job

Does anybody have an idea that could help me?

@AdamUraynar I mean that I don't have a degree in electronics.

I'm a computer science student and I am interested in low level programming rather than application development.

I'm not sure that I meet the necessary requirements for being a embedded system developer .

@Peter Can you program in C, and can you read (and use) a datasheet?

@ScottSeidman Some gadgets measure heart rate electrically (Polar strap) Some of them even claim that they do EKG (iRhythm, Vital Connect). What materials do they use for electrodes?
