@ThePhoton okay, I think i addressed most of your concerns; it now compiles but produces various warnings, mostly that signals have no load - would you mind taking a last look at it? here it is

I put the ends of my Multimeter in water to check for connectivity. (Normal pipe water). Got nothing.
So will putting a 2.3V dc supply at the bottom of a bucket make any difference?

@Marla Usually I assume a battery issue when my meter shows me nothing ;)
