@PlasmaHH Do you not posses it?

FPGA EOL = job security

Am wondering if this will really work on breadboard...
switch closes for 100us or so, then LED lights up for a while and then goes off. quiescent current is in the µA area

Seems like a very strange setup for the purpose, but other than you never finding a switch with 1nOhm on resistance I don't see a lot of reasons for reality to operate differently from simulation

I use special switches for that ;)

You use some of the Helium from your MRI machine?

pssst, dont tell
the idea is to only use npns and one nmos, wire it up in mid air and then put it into resin

5:14 PM
@PlasmaHH You might get into the realm of "it also switches on momentarily if you wave your hand around near it in the wrong way".
aka capacitive proximity sensor

that would be a funny feature too ;) but do you think there is really a possibility, since there are BJTs in the first part, the FET shouldnt be too susceptible for it?
I might switch R5 for a 100k though, should have all the same looking components

@PlasmaHH I think even Darlingtonish configurtions of BJTs can get there, like Q2 & Q3.
Or rather, Q1/Q2/Q3.

5:39 PM
That's a decent point. uA scale base currents. Probably need 1M or so bypass on the input to ground from Q1's base

Hmk, will watch out for that

Neighbour just gave me a Second Edition of AoE
