@Asmyldof sure, any ideas or info or even just clarifying what i'm after in terms of services would be great. How do I give you contact info to pass on to him? Can this website not do private chat or whatever?
@KyranF Not actual private chat, no, but
If you go to my twitter, use that first name at asmyldof.com, you got me
Whereas finding my twitter is really easy if you look to the left of my messages
That bit of text should be bot-safe for a few years
okay, thanks @Asmyldof

@KyranF Though i presume you received my answer, I'll just confirm here as well that I have forwarded your mail

@Asmyldof yeah i got it, didn't want to disturb you with replying to it. you know, email spam
Sure, sure

@PlasmaHH When are they posting the tutorial about how to steal my neighbours' creditcard info?
@Asmyldof they did there, maybe he got that info first and installed a filter to remove that info from your wifi?
@PlasmaHH Only read the headline. I'm too busy making legal money, tbh

hmm it would seem that in hobby stuff buying raw digital elements like latches or gates is really not very efficient nowadays
given how cheap e.g. attinys are
and it's easier to program them compared to actually designing a digital circuit equivalent
@BartekBanachewicz This is why for low speed stuff I have at least 75 Tiny10's in stock at any given time
oh 10 is even smaller than 13
@Asmyldof but that would at least confirm my observation

@user129412 After reading, zero charge doesn't mean no E field. It means the normal component of D is continuous, and the tangential component of H is continuous (because there's also no surface current).
...
Anybody know if there's a simple way to approximate a 1/sqrt(f) response with a pole-zero model?
17:53
Hm, I really would like to have a good answer useful for everybody's interview question "why here"
@PlasmaHH "you tell me"
@ThePhoton very well, that only has a 95% chance of being inappropriate
@PlasmaHH "I was hoping you'd use this interview as an opportunity to tell me about the advantages of your company and this position"
Unless you're interviewing at Apple. In which case they expect you to already have a hard-on from being allowed in the front door.
18:52
@ThePhoton There isn't a receptionist hot enough
@Asmyldof The receptionist is a Mac that you give your mac.com credentials to to get your visitor badge.
@ThePhoton Which will not help the location bound flaccidity AT ALL.
@Asmyldof "I'm afraid we're looking for candidates with a little more enthusiasm"
@ThePhoton Only reason I'd be there at all is them calling me to beg
But like most other out of country companies, they don't know yet how badly they want me
@Asmyldof Obviously you are not a suitable candidate.
19:07
@ThePhoton Explains a lot of things about their products
@ThePhoton I guess we live in different cultures...
also.. how hot is an iron for clothes usually? ours seems to be broken...
@PlasmaHH If I remember right ranging from 80 to 150 °C
But...
"I have a problem with NFC tags" - Then don't use them
maybe they got stuck in his throat?

Q: Induction heater - please identify device

user39335 I am trying to identify this device. It is located on the cooling water input line of an induction heater.

20:54
@PlasmaHH. . Never seen that before
21:18
should I try to somehow avoid duplication in my schematics?
I have a section that needs to be exactly repeated twice
just connected to two different pins of the uC
What PCB package are you using? Many will allow you to do multi-channel design. It really depends on readability vs. how much of a pain it is to update all the sub-schematics later.
@PeterK I'm not sure what you mean with "PCB package"
I thought my question only concerns the schematic
22:03
oh apparently there's a feature called "design blocks"
looks useful
22:52
@Marla This may be in your area of expertise. [Picture inside.]
