@Asmyldof: reminded me about the US presidential election. I do not say which is which.
Could this be a film-resistor due to the “rings” below the coating? Or does it have “no meaning”?

Q: ID Resistor value

user367890Working on a Ferguson 14M2 CRT TV (220V/50Hz). Dead. Have identified at least one suspect in the hot zone. R88. Have tried for hours to find a diagram online, but to no avail. I believe it to be a 1.8 Ω resistor, but would appreciate a trained eye to have a look before I order. (Not a single sh...

Wonder if it could be something like this: ebay.com/itm/…

@user367890 Except for 3W types are 1/3rd that cost
@user367890 It's coiled cut film, or coil-cut film. Relatively high inductance. Get whatever is cheap to replace. Follow rest of answer
@Asmyldof: Same as “Metal film resistor” ?
The one I have is 13mm wide (0.51")

So, I have a cold, and my mother decided I should have one of her magic tea concoctions. This one is a shot of lemon juice, and two 250mg tablets of vitamin c, dissolved in boiling water. There's a nice neutralization reaction when you put in the tablets, which is cool.
However, I thought it looked a little curious'
So I found the blacklight we have
Turned it on
and I got this:
My tea is literally Fluorescent
I'm gonna ask at phys.se why it's glowing
morning
@Giskard42 Several vitamins and aromates fluoresce. B12 is another one, yellow.

@PlasmaHH Trio fan?
A few months ago, I came across a German company (their web site enede with .de) who makes a multi-beam ultrasonic rangefinders for air (not unlike Sick LIDAR, except SONAR). Their device looked like a cylindrical pot.
I came across it in a industry rag, iirc. I can't seem to find it again. Does anyone remember a device that might fit the description?
