so if more than one hotspot in on the area, they ping each other and you earn something. if you are the only one, nobody knows where you are and that you are online.
so buying 2 hotspots only to ping each other means ROI larger than the expected life of the project
and LoRaWAN is M2M. the coverage area of a LoRaWAN hotspot is HUGE... so any company with a serious usage will put a gateway on the top of a high building for free, and created their own network
I don't expect utilities paying helios for using something that they can build for the same price and not having to purchase "data credits" using a random token on a Russian exchange
it makes sense if you look on the big picture... have you ever heard of any established boring company before? nope, because they are underground, nobody thinks of them...
and they appear here and there saying "they cannot, those are the prices"... and other companies will say "they are charging too much, we can do better"
