If I encrypt all my files can I get "attacked" by ransom attacks?
Because my files are already encrypted, they cannot access them, so I should be safe or am I wrong?
Also, if someone could tell me how this encryption works, I would be really thankful.

I am doing something on one of the days but I'm mainly here for the purpose of making not playing

I assumed a certain level of competence, I assumed that people who installed software knew they were accepting to something even if they didn't read it
@RоryMcCune if I don't assume that people have a base level of competence I'll just get called condescending for assuming nobody has a base level of competence and then when I try to defend my actions people will assume I'm some kind of vile soulless creature scared of the light

You kind of nailed the dilemma I was trying to get at with this text: "As long as /dev/urandom is secure, this is harmless (and useless, except if you want to transparently support applications that insist on using /dev/random, and stalling at inopportune times, for no good reason)."
