@Iszi so crashing apparently is still happening on the 1020 with the alarms app off and missus hasn't seen a way of rolling back

all that said her windows profile is so complex it could well be something specific to her that's causing the crashes :)

she made the error of having a windows live account login name with the same e-mail address as a office365 login and it's caused all sorts of havoc

with the latest bit being that oddly the windows 8.1 metro news app just won't work for her.

@RоryMcCune And she uses Cortana? That was kind-of one of my worries, and I think I've seen some reports of it. Since Cortana is always keeping track of you, it would make sense she could be a battery hog.

@RоryMcCune Definitely worth a try. I used them on my Galaxy Nexus when Bugless Beast stopped coming out. Great features and way more stable than Cyanogenmod.
