I dunno though, he got that one girl to say yes.
It was a definitive maybe at the very least.
@DavidFreitag Now watch the other video
@Svetlana Which one?
Nice, the dude called the cops.
This one is a bit difficult, i would want to have sex with her, but i would probably say no
Come up with some sweaty boot rash excuse.
@Svetlana I'm diggin' this Tunisian metal i just found.
@DavidFreitag Holy shit! Yeah! Myrath are great!
22:10
@Svetlana Me likey
@DavidFreitag Myrath means heritage, and it has a another meaning which is what you inherent from your father.
myrath means Y chromosome?
or does it apply to women too?
@Gilles Have you eaten Mämmi?
@Svetlana not knowingly
@Gilles Nobody eats Mämmi for first time knowingly
22:21
@Svetlana I can't tell whether it looks delicious or not.
@DavidFreitag Oh that's how they get you! They tell you it's good, they tell you it's for Easter, they deceive you with the cream topping. But then you bite...
@Svetlana I take it that means not. Oh well, i'd like to try it if at least only once.
@DavidFreitag In Finland, there are three 4 things you should try at least once. Mämmi, Salmari, Glögi, and Swedish girls.
@DavidFreitag Oh shit! And the 90 degrees (194F) sauna.
@Svetlana 194ºF? I thought the pain threshold for temperature was 130ºF...?
so your four weapons are mämmi, salmari, glögi, an almost fanatical devotion to Swedish girls, and the 90⁰ sauna?
22:29
The boiling point of water is 212ºF, how could you stay in that sauna without dying...
@Gilles When the Russians attack, Finns would through them in the sauna with Swedish girls. They'll never go out alive.
@DavidFreitag Actually, the 90 degrees sauna is on the lower range. Most people wouldn't go below 95 (203F). But just so you know, the thermometer in the sauna is numbered to 120 (248F)
@Svetlana =o
@Svetlana And why would you take a sampling of Swedish girls in Finland and not Sweden?
@DavidFreitag A sauna session is usually like this. 5 minutes in the 95C sauna, then you run out and roll in the -25C snow or jump in the almost frozen water. Then you repeate 3-4 times
@DavidFreitag If one day you come here, you'll now why.
@Svetlana Now you're just torturing me. Guess i'll have to hop on a puddle jumper to find out
@DavidFreitag In American standards, you'll see that average in Finland is actually 7 for Finnish girls, and about 8 for Swedish-Finnish (they're Swedes but they were born and they live in Finland, they're Swedish-speaking Finns).
22:37
but the question is why not go to Sweden and sample the Swedish girls there instead
@DavidFreitag Dude, even the girls at MacDonalds are gorgeous. Out of 100 of them, you'll meet less than 5 unattractive ones.
@Gilles I don't know, I haven't been to Sweden that much.
@Svetlana I see. Honestly, all i want is to not be in America. I want to get out before we start killing everyone. Having a sexy european counterpart would just.. make the rest of my life.
Even then, if i managed to nab one of the moderately attractive girls, it would be more than i could even hope to dream for.
IIRC Estonia has the highest percentage of females in the population among European countries
@DavidFreitag An American guy who's about 6, can EASILY get a Swedish girl who's 9 (or even 10) by American standards.
well, after the Vatican, but the ones there aren't up for it
22:40
@Svetlana I'm not even sure i could consider myself a 6. But that's because i have a very poor self-image.
@DavidFreitag It doesn't matter, even I get the above average ones.
@Gilles Yeah, I notice that when I go there to stock on cheap alcohol.
Mostly it's the diversity in europe that attracts me so much. In america you can drive for weeks and it's still the same old shit. In Europe you can drive for a few hours and the culture is sometimes extremely different.
@DavidFreitag Oooh! You have a completely distorted image about the reality in Europe (at least the parts I've been to)
@DavidFreitag Have you been anywhere in Europe before?
@Svetlana Probably
@Svetlana Nope
@DavidFreitag IIRC, Americans get a 3 month stay visit in Europe without applying for a visa or anything. With 1000 euros and CouchSurfing, you can see a lot of Europe.
22:46
What i mean is, you can drive from Connecticut to South Carolina in (Probably) the same time you can drive from Bulgaria to Austria.
I just need some education, and some money. Then i can amscre.
@DavidFreitag You know, in Europe they have a program to encourage immigration. So you get paid 10000 euros if you can get somebody to come here. That's why I'm trying to convince you and @Simon to come here.
You don't need to convince me at all.
have you thought of coming to study in Europe?
I would be happy to get you 10,000 Euros, if you share some of that alcohol with me.
@Gilles The issue is that money begets education.
@DavidFreitag In Finland, that's 10 euros :D (because of the comma)
22:51
@DavidFreitag don't let yourself get swindled. Alcohol is expensive in Scandinavia but not that expensive
@DavidFreitag education is a lot cheaper in Europe, but there's a bootstrap problem
@Gilles It's completely free in Finland. For everybody, for all stages.
While i could enter the study abroad program for the honor society that i'm in, i don't think i'm quite ready to leave the states.
@Svetlana nice
some years I had to pay several hundred euros
but then other years I was paid a salary, so it more than compensates
@Svetlana You know what i mean. =b
@DavidFreitag do you speak a language other than English?
22:52
@Gilles Yeah, here you pay like 20 euros a year for a sthe tudent card
@Gilles No
@DavidFreitag In Finland, you don't need to. You can study in English :D
Damn, I sooo want that 10 thousand euros.
@Svetlana That's a good point, i hadn't thought about having to take courses in Finnish. That would be... impossible.
@Svetlana If we are still in contact when i move, i would gladly do it on your behalf.
@DavidFreitag Actually, there are nearly as much IT programmes in English as in Finnish. Bachelor and Masters.
@DavidFreitag Just so you know, the 10 thousand euros is actually a joke.
@Svetlana That's unfortunate.
22:55
@DavidFreitag Not at all, meeting you is worth more than that to me.
Yup, that's going into my pickup book
@Svetlana It really shouldn't be though, in person i'm just an awkward mess of stumbling over words and missed conversational cues.
That's one of the issues with being raised by the internet.
@DavidFreitag Ooookay, you see? That, we need to work on that.
@Svetlana What, the self deprecation, or the fact that i have almost no conversational skills whatsoever?
@DavidFreitag I don't know where to start. We have a lot to work on.
@Svetlana hah. a few drinks usually fixes the social awkwardness, but i'm pretty freaking oblivious.
23:01
@DavidFreitag Duuuude! No! You're awesome! You have great conversational skills, and a lot of interesting things to say.
Now say that to yourself.
SAY IT NOW! DAMN IT!
@Svetlana Sure, on the internet where my fingers do all the talking.
Having interesting things to say is one thing, but being able to say them with real humans present is another.
@DavidFreitag Come on! We're real humans here.
Well, @Griffin isn't.
@Svetlana Nah, you're a series of 1's and 0's.
well, i suppose i could type messages to people that were right next to me with the same level of proficiency.
That was an excellent album. Myrath goes in the top 25.
@Svetlana really? Has Scott Pack tested you for that too?
Anyway, time to lockup. See ya monday @Svetlana and you too @Gilles.
23:08
@DavidFreitag See ya
@Gilles We're either extremely well-written bots, or humans. The latter is more probable.
Although, that's how a bot would make its decision.
