SeekerWhat is the source of the saying- "There are hundreds of paths up the mountain, all leading to the same place, so it doesn't matter which path you take. The only person wasting time is the one who runs around the mountain, telling everyone that his or her path is wrong. '' ~Hindu saying

3:10 PM
@TheLittleNaruto cool man. Upvoted it. I didn't realize Bhagwan Parashurama who is an avatar of Lord Vishnu wrote something for tantra canon

@Carmensandiego Yeah he wrote. In Ramayana or Mahabharata serial, you would have seen that he is shown as a great devotee of Shiva and received knowledge and bow too from him. But in none they have shared this knowledge.
@Carmensandiego My intention was to share the knowledge not upvote lol! Thanks anyway! 😂
You guys should read answers from some old users like Tejaswee, Be Happy, Rakesh Joshi etc.

3:50 PM
@TheLittleNaruto very nice voted
@Carmensandiego same
@TheLittleNaruto I keep searching all these people’s old answers only they’re brilliant. Recent question quality is not as great
That’s how I found those two 4 year old questions and answered
Still not received a feedback from the asker😂😂
@TheLittleNaruto is parashurama kalpa Sutra practise by any tantrics if you’re aware

@Archit haha 😂😂
@Archit Read the line which I tagged as "IMPORTANT"

@TheLittleNaruto meaning they do actively use it?
Recently even I gave an answer from a kalpa Sutra or let’s say grihyasutra
Or actually more like Pitrumedha Sutra

@Archit of course! Every other Tantric text is derived from PKS only

@TheLittleNaruto What?😱 this is news this is huge news

@Archit :)
@Archit You'll see there is not much details about PKS. Because there is no proper commentary written by any scholar
The reason is simple, Tantric practices are secret doctrine which should be revealed to those who are part of mandala and initiated and not outside the mandala
If a person who revealed this secret to outer world, then he will be punished by a devi.

4:18 PM
@TheLittleNaruto ohhh smart
Then by this logic can we say parashurama is a vamachari?

5:15 PM
@TheLittleNaruto i think Rickross was pretty knowledgeable about shaivism

@Carmensandiego Yeah he is really good
and Tantra too

@TheLittleNaruto is there any linkages between tantra and shaivism. i remember seeing one answer in HSE that had a nice hierarchy chart of shaivism sects. would like to bookmark it

A: Is our destiny predetermined? If yes, then why do our actions affect our karma?

Be HappyThis is a very good question because most of us often wonder about it many times. So I am explaining it with an example. It will be a bit lengthy, so please read it with patience. Also make sure to read this answer to get an idea about the three types of karma. Are our destinies predetermined? ...

A: What are the principle texts/Scriptures of Trika or Kashmir Shaivism?

RickrossThe main scriptures for the school are Netra Tantram, MAlini Vijaya Tantram, MAlini Vijayottara Tantram. But, they also have taken inputs from KAlikula Tantras such as GuhyakAlika chapter of the MahAkAla SamhitA. The main body of Kashmir Shaivism is of course developed from Abhinava Gupta's Tant...

A: Which are the 118 worlds as described in Fifteen verses of Wisdom?

RickrossIn Shaktism, as well as in Shaivism, there are 36 Tattvas. Shiva/Shakti, Vidya, Maya, Purusha, Prakriti, Iswara, etc to the Panchabhutas are these 36 Tattvas. These Tattvas are again grouped into Shuddha (pure), Shuddhashuddha (mixed) and Ashuddha (impure) categories. Now, certain Bhuvanas (or ...

@Carmensandiego There were 3 Tantric sects earlier. Shaiva, Vaishnava and Shakta. Vaishnava is almost non-existing. Shaiva is there but finding real Guru is almost impossible. Shakta tradition is surviving till this date.

@TheLittleNaruto - informative as well. Thanks. But would it make sense that Parashurama is primarily representing for Vaisnava tantric sect

@Carmensandiego May be possible!
I feel Tantra was adopted in Vaishnavism later
In any case we can't be sure

7:08 PM
@Carmensandiego nice

But we are sure about one thing that PKS being Shastras for Tantric seekers.

@TheLittleNaruto hearing Vishnu and tantrism for the first time in life is little odd
@TheLittleNaruto @Carmensandiego would Parashurama be a Vamachari then?

@TheLittleNaruto - will try to find the post that had Agamas and tantra texts in a chart

@Archit Check this answer: hinduism.stackexchange.com/a/32309/647 A question from Vishnu Tantra
@Archit I'll have to ask Acharya
