Q: What scriptures mention about Chitragupta?

In many movies there is a scene about Yama-loka where Chitragupta records good and bad deeds of people who arrive there after death. Is there a scripture that describes this part after death in detail? Is there a real character called Chitragupta? Does Yama really decide the fate of each person?

Yah, the thing is, it should be a measurable value. Here it is binary (which is "should the question be closed", or "not closed"). I think you can apply WoC to binary queries, but I've not tried that.

@BhargavRao On quora they ask unregistered user's opinions also ,even they are anonymous. So they are also conducting anonymous survey of usefulness of answers. And in background collecting data. As anonymous wisdom of crowd 😀

They do the same on SO. There is anonymous feedback, but I don't know if anyone monitors it.

@BhargavRao Yeah we recently talked abt. that. But i think that is really imp part. Because this way we can also evaluated usefulness of answers from users who are not in anyway associated with community and so generally unbiased evaluation.

yeah, I don't know if SE makes that data public.

@BhargavRao No it's not public data , but only concerns about usefulness of answers. So at least they can somewhat see which users have given most useful answers beside of voting.

@TheDestroyer - like what quora is doing , I am not a member over there but when we access that site , it asks about how correct and useful is the answer . So they are collecting some external views also. Just saw it yesterday , i usually do not browse quora. but i like this feature

There is an easier way to check the stats. This is a privilege provided by the Stack Exchange for the users with >5k reputation (Only on beta sites. 25k on normal sites). So, you have to earn all the privileges for this one. The last privilege we get when we reach to 5k is access to site analyt...
