Q: Require quoting original texts/links in questions

marI asked a question long back if we could require questioners to post Sanskrit Text of their quotations. Is it possible to require them to post links of the site when quoting ? e.g. this question attributes some quotes to some scriptures. They must have copied it from some website/book online. So,...

Q: Did Yashoda participate in Rasa?

Mr Green GoldIs there any mention of Shri Yashoda participating in Rasa either in Mahabharata, Shrimadbhagavatham or Hari Vamsham or any authentic scriptures? Edit: This question is not a duplicate of this question. Although the questions may appear similar on the first glance there is subtle difference betw...

It says it is duplicate of other question, but the upvoted answer of the other question is not an answer of this question. If so how is it a duplicate??
Care to explain??

Q: Form of Devi attached to Ardhanarishwera form of Shiva

TheLittleNarutoAs per this video, devi Siddhidatri, 9th form of Goddess Durga is attached to Ardhanarishwera form of Shiva. Is it correct? If not, then which form of devi Durga is she?

@MrGreenGold It's not the answer which is duplicate but the question.

7:30 AM
@TheLittleNaruto I understand that
@TheLittleNaruto If two questions are duplicate, then the answer of one question should also be an answer of another question right? If not then how can they be duplicate?
@TheLittleNaruto if there are two duplicate questions. And if one of them is answered then the other is also automatically answered. Do you get this?
@TheLittleNaruto if not then they can't be duplicate questions

They are clearly duplicate questions
Sadhguru's reference is just a research work done by OP.

Exactly

However both questions are same.

If they are duplicate can answer of one question be answer of another question?
Then the accepted answer is not an answer

You should wait for more answer, we should not decide on single answer.

7:36 AM
Ok agreed

There is no accepted answer yet

But I had flagged the answer as not an answer, but the flag was rejected. Why?

Because I edited it to look more relevant.
Check the edit.

Yes I checked. The whole of that answer makes use of Sadhguru's self admitted non education. And it is usong that as reason. So If Sadhguru is ommited in the question then it fails to answer the questionm

Q: Does popular worship of Lord Shiva in Northern India comes under any Shaiva sect or is it Advatic/Smartha by nature?

RishXWe know Saiva Siddhanta,(a dualistic Shaiva sect) and Veer Shaiva,(another dualistic Shaiva sect) exists in south, I don't think there are any such sects in north India. Except maybe Kashmir Shaivism, which itself is not much popular here. Regardless Shiva worship is very popular in north too. So...

@Carmensandiego I have made edit to your answer , I would suggest to add more relevant content to your answer. Currently to me it looks incomplete. You're refuting Sadhguru claim on his statement, but without scriptural supports.

@TheLittleNaruto sorry. which one ? the one on sadhguru ? someone can surely answer
I just find these neo gurus doing more harm when they appropriate Hindu beliefs to further their own agenda

@Carmensandiego I would rather avoid any public appearing gurus.
My problem is I can't believe these public appearing Gurus.

@TheLittleNaruto - Same here. Sad reality of life is that the good ones keep a low profile. To find them you have to search quite a bit.

@Carmensandiego I always say this, if you're seeking something from your heart, you're destined to reach.

O mother! You're the only one who creates and destroys this whole universe! Without your will, not even a leaf moves. Devi, Devata, Gandharva and all humankind worship you. Like sunflower always faces east to receive the energy of sun, similarly we worship you always to receive your motherly love.
On this auspicious festival of Navaratra, we bow down to you Maa Durga!! 🕉️🕉️
