all suggestions are welcome :p
max 10 slides, max 8 lines per slide?
@LucasKauffman If I were you I wouldn't put too much text on the slides, you don't want people focusing on them instead of the presentation. Either use short bullets or pictures :)
Has anyone participated in a CCDC event? Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition? Teams defend a network against attack. E.g. I've been reading about one of the scenarios this year: Securing the Vote: Electronic Voting Systems and Cybersecurity maccdc.org/2013-scenario
@LucasKauffman My usual rule is "no more than one slide per minute". So 5 slides, tops.
They had a top-notch panel of voting experts talk about election system security this year at the Johns Hopkins (Maryland) event
ok so 5 slides preferably filled with pictures

@LucasKauffman I you put text on the slide, they will read it. While they read it, they don't listen to you. So avoid text (just put a bit so their brain does not tell them "this guy thinks of us as kindergarten kids", but that's mostly visual filler).
@ThomasPornin ah ok

One other way I've seen it done is flipping through the first few slides without any comments whatsoever. It creates a bit intimidating atmosphere that a good presenter can take advantage of later on. Basically, you're trying to draw huge proverbial question marks on top of your audience heads to draw their attention. Powerful imagery or quotes, and about 10-15 seconds per slide with the first minute in complete silence.

Pins and needles, pins and needles, pins and needles...

FAA/Honeywell/Rockwell: "That hack won't work on real airplanes". Me: "Ok, so can I test it on a real plane?". Them: "No".

Q: Can Skype be prevented from snooping? Are there safe alternatives?

AlexI use Skype a LOT. With all of my clients, staff, contractors and friends however the acquisition by MicroSoft worries me as 2 of my clients are direct MS competitors and I often work on long projects which are in development for over a year before they are launched to the public and are therefor...

Anyone used jitsi before? Is it HIPAA compliant? It is ZRTP encryption enabled...

A: Can Skype be prevented from snooping? Are there safe alternatives?

D3C4FFThere have been several suggestions that skype is indeed backdoored and evesdroppable. If your concerned about it because Microsoft is now the owner, there are plenty of other alternatives to Skype which I would suggest as the easiest and cleanest solution (besides, if MS is your competitor, why ...

@TildalWave Silly Tilly's willy!
@D3C4FF yup read it... thanks for obliterating my own research efforts! :P
@D3C4FF no upvote for you for the next 15 minutes or so!

Basically i think the answer will always be the same 'replace it'
@D3C4FF Yup... check this out (I did manage to dig some dirt that you didn't :P)... Microsoft brags about an independent Skype security review... however the paper they brag about is dated 2005 -- from before Microsoft bought Skype ... before they implemented changes to encryption protocol from peer-to-peer key distribution to centralized public key distribution LOL

@TildalWave lol!
Placate the masses!
