Can anyone tell my what metal 1 and metal 2 (feed) is in this diagram of a NAND cell: i.imgur.com/OCbooru.png

I literally have no idea what I'm looking at

@RungeKutta Looks like a simplified layout of a logic gate for an integrated circuit. It may also be a hierarchical view of a layout with the internals of the AND2 gate hidden. Metal 1 is the bottom metal layer (that can connect to transistors), and looks like it's the darker blue. Metal 2, the next level up, is the gray vertical lines.

with the internals of the AND2 gate hidden
That would explain a lot :p
Is it conventional to show the feedthrough while not showing the the internal workings of the cell? Isn't the feed something you should account for while making the cell?
@W5VO ofcourse

@RungeKutta A lot of IC design is hierarchial. That means that the actual gate layout is at a lower level than the cell that wires them together. The cell would have been designed before it got implemented in this circuit

Then how is it possible to account for the feeds?
Maybe I'm using the wrong word, I mean the vertical line in the middle that goes through the cell without interacting with it

you can show it when designing
and it probably was shown

oh ok, thank you

but for whatever reason it's not shown - either intentionally or just through default settings
There's probably a bar of metal 2 between the upper and lower 'A', 'B', and 'Z' labels
