The problem with dummy chips is that it can be very difficult to make sure everything is connected correctly
Are you going to have a microcontroller? Those come in qfn packages and are much cheaper

@W5VO HF PLL with ground paddle

3:57 AM
@ThePhoton Our Ireland trip is definitely off
Got work to do for very good billables those weeks

4:25 AM
@W5VO I was looking at ordering some of those. I have a bunch of Pics laying around I was planning on using.
I had that same thought.

Aaah. I get it now
Did I mention I'm sleep deprived?
Not that that's an excuse
Butttt.
Sleep time anyway

4:54 AM
@Asmyldof you should try some melatonin medicine, that stuff puts me to sleep extremely quick... that or some alcohol
and i'm talking about the melatonin that isn't a hormone
but rather the medicine that affects the hormone... for some odd reason it has the same name...

@Asmyldof What is the best university regarding electrical engineering in the Netherlands?
Can you make a "top 3" ?

8:21 AM
@DanielTork Depends on the subject
@DanielTork You mean, list the three that there are?

8:59 AM
@KingDuken Can't have stuff that works on any hormones and chemicals/alcohol don't affect my consciousness until I'm at severely dangerous levels
I'm one of those guys for whom the anaesthesiologist needs to pay attention to signals every second for it to not go wrong either direction.

Why is there a 33rd pin in this 32 pin package?

It is probably the ground pad under the package

I googled that, so there are arbitrary "k" centerpads below QFN32
@abdullahkahraman Yeah it seems so

@abdullahkahraman Thanks, I guess its use is because of heat distribution?

Yeah, mostly heat I guess

11:49 AM
@Asmyldof The first three best universities based on their electrical engineering courses performance

@DanielTork So... you want me to tell you THE three cities where there is one then? Enschede, Eindhoven, Delft, no particular order.

hi
I've got a question about current flowing inside an open circuit
0
Q: Why does not current flow in open circuit wire connected to a closed circuit?

parvinI know that current flows from higher potential towards the lower. I was wondering why it does not flow towards point "a" and why isn't it divided into "i_y" and "i_x"? And if it happened, it would stuck inside the open wire at point "a", and current "i_y" would head back towards the source. Here...

there's another question I have, does current flow through a source? if in this photo, there was a current source instead of open circuit, would the current i be divided into i_x and i_y ?

Why is it always that the people asking questions think that people that want to answer are the ones that should spend effort to figure things out instead of just giving the facts?

Q: 2-Phase SMPS over-current protection false trigger

Matviy KotoniyI'm attempting to repair a PCB that has a 2-phase switching power supply. The regulator sends two PWM signals to two external switches, each has two integrated MOSFETS, and each has an external inductor. The over-current protection is implemented using inductor DCR, measuring the voltage drop a...
