sigh Google has sanctioned some of its web services and APIs for us. I've been messing with ESP8266 this whole day to make a TCP connection to some appspot server... The same setup/code works for another server (weather) but not for this one :\

I can't even ping that IP on my windows machine :|

Does anyone know if there is a timeout in AT+CIPSTART for ESP8266?

you can obtain flux cored solder that will solder aluminium. It's a vicious flux, and needs some practice, but it works. Failing that, a mechanical clamp. — Neil_UK 22 mins ago

About that sanction, I used hurl.it and it does GET instead of me and prints the response. Solved my problem ^_^
