American way of thinking... see this map of Röchling - locations worldwide. roechling-plastics.us/en/company-profile/roechling-group/…
Here's the real locations map:
The Roechling USA homepage shows a map of company locations in North and South America. There's nothing wrong with that, but calling the map "locations worldwide" is somewhat misleading, isn't it? ;)
And yet, a very American way of thinking what is the World. It is the North America and in some cases accompanied by South America. All the rest of the planet is not really in this World.
So cute :)

well, it's also arguably a marketing strategy
you don't want to appear to be a foreign company if you want to do business in a region
so advertising that, yeah, most of your operations are in Europe isn't helpful when trying to reach the Americas, just like you want to emphasis your European presence in Europe
and it was a crop of the actual worldwide locations map
I do rather enjoy how the southern tip of South America simply doesn't exist in either though

@AJHenderson Yeah, I suppose this is very true too. Many Finnish companies have said the same when attempting to enter the US market. They need to appear a genuine domestic company over there, and to do that they often buy a US company and use the brand and reputation to sell imported goods made in other countries.
I'm not against the policy really, but the use of word "worldwide" and then showing the cropped map jumped at me ;)

yeah
I'd agree with that
it's bad wording
I'd hazard it is probably a technical bug though
the name of the image is probably world wide locations
and they probably cropped it in their CMS
but that wouldn't change the name associated with the image

@AJHenderson You may be right there. The whole company uses this same template.
Röchling is divided into two divisions; High performance plastics and Automotive plastics, and then locationwise they are divided into Europe, the Americas, Asia. I work under High performance plastics Europe, Thermoplastics subdivision, Semi-finished products.
Other name for it: Röchling Engineering Plastics Group
@AJHenderson ... and it jumped up right after I woke up this morning and turned my computer On :D

A shot from the last cruise I was on with my family.
I missed a more vivid sunset by mere 10 minutes... the time I needed to walk to our cabin, grab a camera and walk back up on the sun deck.
