@GarethMcCaughan i think this is it... a screen is a type of pass in american football and the ? can indicate def-by-example

@Jafe I took TakingNotes's "That's not my intention" to mean that my proposed answer is wronger than that. But maybe I misunderstood.

ah sorry i completely missed that!

Though if indeed pass=screen then it seems like we've got a fairly legitimate alternative solution to whatever TakingNotes turns out to have had in mind. Though there's another problem with it, which is that "lowpass" is an adjective and "blue screen" is a noun phrase. I don't think I've heard people refer to "a lowpass" meaning a lowpass filter, though I wouldn't be astonished if they did from time to time.

@juicifer that is exactly correct :DD I'm a bit amazed you did it without hints hehe

Q: A logician's Bingo

BubblerMark some cells on the following Bingo board, so that every statement in a marked cell is true AND every statement in an unmarked cell is false. A Bingo here is a set of five marked cells in a row, column, or diagonal. There are two diagonals: forward (A1-E5) and backward (A5-E1). A B C D E ...

@juicifer good to hear (and thx again :))
@Bubbler if you saw my latest comment (below your reply) don't mind it. I... forgot to read the instructions before posting that comment, that was quite embarrassing
@Jafe ooh interesting. I'm excited for both the puzzles and the channel :DD

7:28 AM
@Jafe ooh aah

8:13 AM
@Jafe The video clarified for me what your chat message did not, viz that the videos will include the solutions. Will you be posting them before or after a solution is posted on PSE? (Or at a set time later, irrespective of whether a solution has been posted?)

8:30 AM
@msh210 after someone has found the solution on PSE, generally saturday evening/sunday
i even explained that in a previous version of the video but somehow skipped it in the final version... d'oh

Also, which Saturday are you calling "next Saturday"?

Q: The dark at the crux of a poem

JosephThe dark at the crux of a poem, The bird of the saintly days of yore. The brother without an eye in the genius, The shadow that floats from the floor. The last letter of the last word never spoken. The first letter of an age which death had broken.

I don't know how to make my explanation as short as yours @msh210 , and I wasn't going to be finished immediately anyway since I didn't take note of my solution path at first. Well done.
My head hurt from that puzzle, so I'll leave for now lol
P.S. I did lots of backtracking there, so it's possible that I missed a more elegant path

are "forward" and "backward" diagonal standard terms? the way they're used in that puzzle are exactly opposite from the usage in e.g. forward slash vs. backslash

@oAlt thanks

Always fun to get a drive-by upvote on a post you'd long forgotten writing, and getting to relive some old puzzling moments.
