hmm, if i say "three pairs of successive clues", is it clear that i want e.g. clues 4&5, 7&8 and 11&12 and there can be any number of clues between each pair?

and not 4&5, 6&7, 8&9 only (which i suppose could be "three successive pairs of successive clues"?)

In my personal opinion, if you make a mistake in your problem you have two options: If it's a minor mistake, edit your question as soon as possible. If you can't edit (for example because you aren't at home, or using a phone), kindly explain in a comment your mistake and ask for someone who can...
