@JGibbers If you're worried that a certain tag will spoil the puzzle, you don't need to put it in. What has been done in similar situations is to add the tag after the puzzle is solved.

Can I ask, at what point should I add a hint when a question has all incorrect answers?
 
Up to you, but a common choice is to wait about a day before providing hints and then give about one a day.
 
@DiscreteGames That's really up to you. Some puzzles on this site have gone unsolved for months, until someone eventually figures them out. If you want it to be solved more quickly, you can provide more info at your discretion.
If it seems that the puzzle is too difficult to be solved without any hints, consider reformulating the question with the extra information needed, rather than providing extra info in a hint. Ideally, every question should be solvable without any hints, so if the info provided in a hint is necessary for solving the puzzle, it shouldn't be a hint.
