10:05 PM
ooh, lots of metapuzzles being released recently
I approve :D

Heh
Still need 1, 6 on ffao's if you have any ideas

unfortunately not
(you're featured in Sid's though! just thought you might like to know that)

... but upside down. :P

Hah didn't notice - seems mean to people not familiar with the site but I'm amused :)

that image could have been a little larger, I can't tell what some of the pictures are, like the one in 4

10:19 PM
I can't tell what the last image of 3 is
yeah, it's pretty tiny
@Sid, if you have the full image but you want to keep it small in-post, add an "s" after the image URL

10:36 PM
@Sid, you there?
If so, calling in LINEAL / SPARK / BODY / PORES.

45 mins ago, by Sid
Okay, I need to sleep now. Good Night folks.
^

Oh.
Don't know how that didn't register to me.
@Sp3000 - what are the answers so far to ffao's?

gbxb qvegl puvuveb hfhnyyl znvmbab svez znuveh tvmzb pryrfgr nfprag
And I'm hung up over the fact that answer lengths seem like they would total 36 instead of 35 (as there are 5 rows in the meta image and the sum of lengths of Arle's Puyo moves is 35)

...The sum of lengths of Arle's Puyo moves? Explain.

(Jugemu's not listed on that page but it also seems to be one of them: puyonexus.com/wiki/PPQ:Voice_Transcript/Arle )

10:57 PM
ah, cool
...mind telling me the colors of those letters?

added a hint for 1,6
and sorry for using colors Deus, but I kinda had to there :c

The colours of fire, ice storm etc. match up with the cwm fjord line, which is BBB PRBPP PRYR GGGPBP YPYG RPYG (purple/red/blue/green/yellow per Puyo colours)

cool, thanks
the purple and blue were... bad
the rest were okay, it seems
ah, I think I know 6

Oh?

yup, got it

11:06 PM
Nice :)

8, 42, 19, 11
yes, 42
it's Chutes and Ladders

... I didn't see the ladder on 21

ah
...calling in HUSK

Is there a standard board or something?

well, there's a board that's basically used all the time in America
and I think it's the only commercial one published recently? or at least the most common one
in any case, the top confirms it

11:10 PM
> (The game in 6 is commonly played with a different instrument for randomization, but a die works as well.)
What do you normally play snakes and ladders with then?

got the other one too
@Wen1now a spinner, apparently

I didn't want anyone complaining that the American version comes with a spinner and not a die
mainly a note in the interest of fairness

Other one as in #1?

I guess the word 'other' was redundant then

calling in NO WAY for the last one
er, the first one
number 1, the subpuzzle that we have not solved yet
that one

11:13 PM
Hmm so actually 36 letters total. Hmm...

NO WAY is correct for 1, and HUSK is correct for 6

calling in final answer CHIAKI NANAMI

... do I even need to confirm this? :P

obviously not

Hah :P

11:17 PM
you saw nothing

fyi for ffao the MD5 sum inputs from yesterday (where I did not read the first few paragraphs): fzvyrngubcrvaguranzrbsqrfcnve naq fzvyrngqrfcnvevaguranzrbsubcr

I know, I reverse hashed them
I hope now you can appreciate how hard it would be for me to make that large of an answer with this meta

Didn't realise those strings had been hashed before :P but yes

so, now what?

um... that was the final puzzle

11:20 PM
no, I know that
I mean, which one of us posts? Sp got 5/7 puzzles, I got 3/7 plus the meta
(both of us got the Jotto one, though it took me a bit longer)

wen solved 7 first actually

ah, right

If I post it won't be any time soon cos work (and 7 wasn't me yeah)
I'm sure Deus could have gotten the others though :P

I'm busy with CS homework - can do writeup in ~2.5 hours
(shouldn't have been puzzle solving, but I can't resist the allure of a good meta)

I'm not sure if Sp noticed this based on him guessing "form" for Maizono, but I included a synonym for every answer in the flavor text

11:23 PM
I saw that

I only got that part for Toko's which stood out more than the rest

just solved the photography one without even looking for the images
just guessed the form of the answer and that gave it to me

Yeah that one's flip til you get it :P

boo, you should have done mosaic art like Sp did

I thought that would be the solution at first too

11:25 PM
@Sp3000 or, you know, you can actually look for the images

^
yeah, I think the point is that the shaded ones are the ones in the actual image

I did at first but I had three wrong or something
So rather than figuring out which I just flipped

you could also just guess the form of the answer, then pick some cells that you know have to be shaded, and eliminate the ones that can't be
and that gives it to you
