@Emrakul yeah no that's not really what I meant by that question, I just figured a suspension would theoretically not let someone do (whatever), so I'm puzzled (heh) as to how they did (whatever).
And... again, I'm not really sure going into details on exactly how to evade a suspension is a good idea, honestly. I wish I could give a more helpful answer, but...
I don't really want information like that so much as I just don't understand the mechanics of a suspension and I'm having a hard time finding good information on it (though there have been a couple that have explained what I saw)
it seems like, from what I'm reading, people IDed a sockpuppet, which just makes me wonder: how are mods sure of sockpuppetry (in the case I was reading about, they were coming from multiple IPs, but even a single IP is not necessarily the same person)
yeah that's pretty good. I still don't quite get how they decide two accounts coming from the same IP (this has to happen with colleges all the time, no? or, you know, people who have more than one person in their household?) are the same person.

@manshu Suspensions are almost always for abusive behavior toward the site or to the user, but can be, well. Pretty much any consistent, problematic behavior.
I was reading The harsh password change and after some of the other attempted answers, proposed own:

Coming back to check on it I found that it had been vote-deleted. Does anyone who down-voted have an explanation to share so that I can do better ...
