@GarethMcCaughan SOWPODS has these words which anagram to aemot+1: amoret camote comate matoke moated omenta (pl. of omentum) omerta osmate. But none of these fits any of the clues as far as I can see.

@RosieF Thanks for checking. I thought of "osmate", should have thought of "omenta" and "omerta" (and maybe the ugly "moated") but didn't, and have never heard of the others. The ones I do know certainly don't seem to fit any of the clues.

I tried, but I don't know the meaning of 90% of the words that came up

I never read that text in Emrakul's profile because I'm not a big fan of the standard fantasy setting, but I'm now glad you forced me to, Kangaroo :P

@ffao Any clues as to the corresponding 3 hidden letters? Last time I looked, nobody had posted any suggestions as to the text spelt out by the hidden letters.

@ffao SOWPODS has 132, of which 86 also contain I (ING being a common combo, of course), and I'm not going to check them all!
