Q: Include information about elections in the newsletter

N.N.It is currently community moderator election at Ask Ubuntu. I just got the Ask Ubuntu Weekly Newsletter and it does not mention the election. An election is a very important event for a Stack Exchange site. Therefore I would like to suggest that whenever a Stack Exchange site has an election that...

A: Include information about elections in the newsletter

EmmettCurrent community moderator elections now get top billing in the newsletter! For example, here's the top of the current Mathematics newsletter:

I received an email with the newsletter which says: "Please cast your vote by September 26!"
That seems like a mistake - on September 26, the nomination phase should end.
@MartinSleziak Woah. Worth putting up a bug report on Meta SE, I think.

@TheAmplitwist Yes, that's probably true. (OTOH this does not influence many people - I guess only very few people decided to get the newsletter by email. I will add that this information was displayed in the email - but it is not shown in the preview.
If somebody else wants to make the bug report, feel free to go ahead. (Of course, only the subscribers to the newsletter can actually see it.)
I won't be able to do that today, since I am going to be busy IRL.
Wow, and today I learned that the newsletter has a preview page :)
Sure, no issues; as you say, it's not a high priority bug report. I will not be able to submit one anyway, since I'm not subscribed to the newsletter.

Q: Nominating other community members

Alec Rhea Is there no mechanism to suggest other community members for nomination? If I remember correctly, last election there was some mechanism in place to suggest community members other than ourselves who we thought had the right stuff for moderation. I can't seem to find any appropriate place to do...

It is good that this room is at least occasionally displayed in the sidebar - maybe it might attract more users here. (Or at least more users might noticed the election - but the election is already advertised in several places.)
@MartinSleziak The upcoming election announcement can probably be unfeatured?
We can also forcibly remove the question collection post from the hot meta posts list.
@Catija My comment about the posts was just an observation - not an objection.
After all, MathOverflow Meta is one of the sites where the part with Hot Meta Posts is quite often empty.
Here is a SEDE query showing the most recent hot meta posts: data.stackexchange.com/meta.mathoverflow/query/1075209/…
Sure. :D Mostly just sharing some info.

@ElectionBot can I vote in this election
@TheAmplitwist Yes, you can vote in the election.
@ElectionBot who can vote in the election
@TheAmplitwist I want to play a game.
@ElectionBot Oh! Okay, sure.
@TheAmplitwist What do you want from me?

@ElectionBot what are the responsibilities of a moderator
@TheAmplitwist Elected ♦ moderators are essential to keeping the site clean, fair, and friendly by enforcing the Code of Conduct. They are volunteers who are granted additional privileges to handle situations regular users can't, like investigating sockpuppet accounts, suspending users, migrating questions to any network site, and performing post redactions.

We have a new nomination! Please welcome our latest candidate Carl-Fredrik Nyberg Brodda!
in case anyone is wondering, the announcement is because a huge update has just been deployed fixing a few things that stopped working properly out of the blue :) Expect the bot to live-announce new nominations and withdrawals (should any such happen) properly going forward

@OlegValteriswithUkraine That's quite useful!
@TheAmplitwist thanks :) we had the feature for quite a while, but it has been acting up lately, so we reworked how it works under the hood a bit
