I was going to say, it's not that much cheaper. You might as well go for the Dell. Presumably you can run the game at 1080p if the PC struggles with the higher resolution.

I found a web page saying NVidia charge a large licencing fee for manufacturers to build in Gsync.
That fee probably makes it not worth while for manufacturers to make a lower spec GSync monitor. If NVidia's fee is a large chunk of the price reducing the spec doesn't make the monitor that much cheaper.
I wonder what the 1440p would be like at 720p. That seems an odd thing to do, but with the anti-aliasing done by the video card ou probably wouldn't notice much, and the frame rate would go through the roof.
