Q: Where can I find theoretical data to compare with my numerical data for an-harmonic oscillator?

I am trying to solve an-harmonic oscillator (with x^4 terms) and need theoretical data to compare with my numerical data. thanks in advance...

I think you can configure TeamViewer to run automatically at boot.

That way you can't forget to run it.

I'd have to Google for exactly how to do it, but anything you can do from a command line can be scheduled.

I just close the whole thing.

I think you just need to run "C:\Program Files (x86)\TeamViewer\TeamViewer.exe"

So just use the Task Scheduler to create a task that runs daily at 10:00 (or whenever) and runs "C:\Program Files (x86)\TeamViewer\TeamViewer.exe"

The only thing I'm unsure about is if it uses the same ID every time.

I find it feels too artificial. That is, you're just trying to solve problems someone else has made up.

I might get the new version of Doom, just for nostalgia's sake.

At the weekend I saw an article on Engadget (I think) about a new gaming laptop. Complete with a GTX 1080, though with an Intel CPU not a Ryzen.

Over $2000 though.

@JohnRennie Well... with a gsync monitor the refresh rate of the monitor matches the fps.

Drops are apparently less noticeable.

You basically run the GPU at 100% the whole time and get whatever your machine can handle.

I was going to say, it's not that much cheaper. You might as well go for the Dell. Presumably you can run the game at 1080p if the PC struggles with the higher resolution.

@JohnRennie I don't know if downgrading the resolution is possible/a good idea.

I also don't know how much upscaling the resolution actually does for performance.

You can certainly run a monitor at less than its native resolution. You get aliasing but I doubt that would be noticable in a game.

I'm not surprised - you're doubling the number of pixels.

I found a web page saying NVidia charge a large licencing fee for manufacturers to build in Gsync.

That fee probably makes it not worth while for manufacturers to make a lower spec GSync monitor. If NVidia's fee is a large chunk of the price reducing the spec doesn't make the monitor that much cheaper.

I wonder what the 1440p would be like at 720p. That seems an odd thing to do, but with the anti-aliasing done by the video card ou probably wouldn't notice much, and the frame rate would go through the roof.

Well the aim of the PC is to have fun. It might turn out the game is more enjoyable at 720p.

If it eliminates all the dropouts

But I wouldn't use 720p on a 1080p monitor as you'll get aliasing.

On a 1440p it would work because it's exactly half the resolution.
