bruh had the weirdest experience doing statewide (im actually not even sure lol) benchmark tests, specifically the math one. so a huge portion of the test had a calculator button.... but the issue is that the calculator button literally connects to desmos.
either they dont know how powerful desmos is (i think they even nerfed it a little, i know that they blocked actions at least cuz thats one of the first things i tried) or they are just plain stupid, but i was able to solve every problem without using scratch paper at all, just by plugging in the equations to desmos
granted, the test would still be easy without desmos, but damn, desmos just made it a walk in the park... finished it in 10 or so minutes and just played video games the rest of the period
like dude they had this x and y equation and they asked for the value of x and y.... all i did was plot the exact equations they gave onto desmos and found the intersection point
oh and they had this other question with some complicated equation, and say find the x and y intercept, and u know what happen next.... ofc i plug that into desmos cuz im too lazy to actually do it lmfao

@lyxal should I make this my PFP
Me when
Wow, I had no idea the number 69420 had any special significance! Too bad I cannot relate it to either C++ or toilet paper. — anatolyg May 23, 2021 at 8:26
lmao
@Ginger sure
I'd put a foka on it but I think that'd detract from the quality
it would
02:24
> # Run job every hour at the 42rd minute
> 42rd
23rd too
@Ginger while you're on my roof, watching the birds, could you perhaps do me a favour and chase them away
@lyxal why don't you just say that to yourself again
that way, it's a win-win situation
think real hard about it
@Ginger eh
I don't care
02:27
me when cardboard box
that's my box of shits I give
as you can see, it's empty.

@Ginger my brain literally stopped working the moment I see this image, I couldn’t imagine what had been done to my best cat niko

3 hours later…
12:11
I've listened and watched so many steamed hams edits that the original now feels edited
Like the lines "localised entirely within your own kitchen?. Yes! May I see it? No." feel un-natural now despite being canon
and the timing of lines feels off too
too much unlimited steam + ytp
12:51
@Niko the skrunkly

4 hours later…
16:54
@Ginger You didn't ask me, but I like it
17:20
@DLosc lol
finally.
I hate houghcircles and its fricking parameters.
circles
yes
hmm
There was a drive folder with character drawings somewhere, right?
I think so???
17:36
double hmm
I'll try to identify stickmen by colour first
recognising objects is going to be harder

1 hour later…
19:04
@mathscat Ooh nice!
@mathscat Important objects will probably be: diamonds, hats, guns, swords/knives, Lyxal's fridge, and orbs of Nitro/Github energy
@Niko Wait so your cat is named niko? And you're named niko? That sounds confusing :p
@RydwolfPrograms thx, noted
I'll do the latter :d
@RydwolfPrograms I assume the background colour is constant?
That'd make things a lot easier.
19:30
#fafafa IIRC
seems to be the case

How much data can you encode in a syllable?
I can think of 16 vowels:
father, cat, pain, set, mit, peek, coat, cow, boy, look, luck, fine, per, food,
And then idk, fork and part
So 4 bits for vowel
I bet you could easily get 6-8 bits from the leading consonants
Also waft (same as off & loft)
Same as father for me
I count over 22000 unique syllables in a dictionary of english words
So easily 16 bits
20:27
Wait I cannot count
14 bits
20:57
wohoo
or
I'm gonna make a neural network with a 24-bit color input and a 192-bit output which is interpreted as ASCII. I'm going to train it with thousands of colors and their names (e.g., tons of different reds and greens and grays, and some rarer colors too, like all the CSS ones). Then I'll give it other colors and invent new color names
21:15
interesting
I'll use a genetic algorithm 'cause no way am I learning backpropagation rn

3 hours later…
23:53
Why can't they add the other directions?
How silly to only come with one direction of arrow
@RydwolfPrograms sounds like it's the result of SE only giving you one shot at choosing your name every 30 days
