Cursed slash directions
Wat?
Windows powershell
I went to go to my usual working directory for stuff using autocompletes (which use \) and decided to go to the tests directory and typed /
gotta love being able to mix slash directions
I only realised what I'd done after I'd pressed enter

I hate how little free time I have now
Do you have a new job or something?
Part of it is how much homework I have from 9 AP-level classes (tho still way less than I'd expect, it adds up)
And then on top of that I got a job a few months back
I mean I've still got plenty of time where I'm not doing anything, but for most of that I've used up all my energy already and just sit around watching YT or playing games
And the time I do have is fragmented pretty badly, very few uninterrupted chunks long enough to do productive work on a personal project
As a result, I'm genuinely excited for summer break, for possibly the first time in my life :p
I guess one advantage of all these AP classes is that the last month of school I will have literally no work
January through May is the least rewarding part of the year by far. No big holidays to look forward to, no novelty since the school year's been going for a while, and the weather is consistently bad
Either too cold to be comfortable, rainy, or too hot to be comfortable
And I'm not exactly not behind on school work :p
9 AP classes are worth it. That'll get you a great head start!
I should be entering college with 2-3 semesters of credits
Depends on how many 5s I can get
So far I'm 5 for 6, but of course the one I got a 4 on is the one I needed most and can't retake lol
(AP seminar, can't retake since most of the score is stuff done in the class itself, and important since it's a two-part thing that I'm taking the second part of this year)

Hmm @RydwolfPrograms any suggestions on taking AP courses?
Currently 8th grade and taking PreAP (something in my school which is like a course before AP courses) Physics and Chemistry
Is it possible for me to test AP Calculus (say AB) before taking it?
Taking it is a big waste of time

Help, I once again have half a dozen things I want to do and the knowledge that I will only be able to do one of them, at best, isn't enough to stop me from wanting to start on them all at once

@user We've all been there. ;) What kind of help do you want?
@RydwolfPrograms Interesting--spring is my favorite time of the year, weather-wise. I wonder if that's a personal preference thing or a different states, different weather thing.

@DLosc Oh, I was mostly speaking to myself
But since you're offering to help, if you could send an eclair here, that'd be great :P
20:38
I've never eaten an eclair before, are they good?
I traveled to France once just to buy 3 baguettes, (it was totally worth it), but I didn't eat anything french-y other than that.
20:53
... how close do you live to the border?
profile says somewhere in germany :P
it would probably be reasonable in most of europe
i'm guessing not on the german-french border with only one visit though
21:12
@emanresuA lets say somewhere between 20-200km :P
21:27
@user Hmm, I think you're on your own there. :P

@NumberBasher Take as many as you think you can pass
or more
$70 or whatever is a whole lot less than a college class
@NumberBasher Yes, talk to your school's AP coordinator, it's 100% possible to take a test without taking the class
@DLosc Probably the latter
23:13
lol thanks Demcifilter for sending me a "your order has been delivered" notification close to a month after I got it
Guess DHL is as bad at delivering emails on time as actual mail
Speaking of poorly timed email notifications I've apparently missed at least one, and probably two or three, meetings for an organization I'm part of because they didn't send me any emails about upcoming meetings
And since they're at a different school in the district each time, and not scheduled according to any regular pattern, there's no way I could've known
Well, the way I do know is that I found a note at the bottom of one of our slides from the last meeting I showed up to, which was in November, saying when the next one would be (December 14th...)
23:48
@DLosc :( Guess I'll have to learn how to make eclairs myself then
Or make something else that I can trade for eclairs
I know Costco doesn't accept monopoly money or paper planes, so it'll have to be something else
The store I work at has what I think are called eclairs
I can mail you one
Thanks!
You should receive an uncomfortably sticky envelope in 6-8 weeks. Enjoy!
:)
I hope they'll be ripe by then. I do hate eating raw food
I hear you can wrap them in a paper bag with some croissants and they'll ripen way faster
