Hoooooly frick I just scored an RX 6950 XT, an XFX MERC 319 at that, for $800

That's literally the best AMD GPU on the market, at least until the 13th

I probably could've gotten more for my money by going with an AIB 7900 XTX in a month or two, but this way I can completely avoid any worries about the amount they have in stock, early adoption issues, etc. (not to mention I don't need that much power, at all), and the MERC 319 is an absolutely beautiful and very high build quality model

I'm planning on selling this for, honestly, probably almost as much as I bought it for, once whatever succeeds the 7900 XTX comes out

But for now this should easily handle anything I throw at it for at least a couple of years

Theoretically my case supports a 362 mm GPU, but who knows if that includes fans or not, and I may need to front mount my AIO at some point

It does have top, side, and bottom though, which should be plenty

(and I may not actually have the clearance for a top AIO, the max height is 25 mm and I think mine is slightly thicker)

I think the side mounting only supports 240mm, the top-mount probably won't fit, and a bottom-mount will be ugly and bad for the pump, so I really hope I can make this front-mount fit lol

I'm gonna be so tilted if it's like, a millimeter too thick to fit, but I'm hoping that 25mm spec is like, optimistic and it'll just barely work

And 27mm + 340mm is more than 362mm, so I really hope front mount fits or I just wasted $800

(Tho buying a different case would probably be more rational than a new graphics card, or even a new AIO, given that it's like <$150)

Ugh finding a case that fits my gigantic GPU and AIO but also isn't itself absolutely gigantic and ugly is so hard

I really don't want some like, super tall, deep case that's like, super narrow and thin. I feel like that would look pretty ugly.

My current case is a cool dual-chamber thing so it looks pretty sturdy and unique

I could get the same thing but bigger I guess, but wow is that going to be big

Like it'll almost be as tall as me when it's on my desk and I'm sitting by it lol

It also doesn't have dust filtration, which is a problem (neither does my current one though, the price you pay for looks and airflow I suppose)
