@MartinSleziak I assume Tags is a derived value and only stored in the Posts table for performance reasons. Therefor, what you see on the site is in the database. As you see the current tags on a deleted post you will see the current tags in the PostWithDeleted.Tags field. One way to verify if a post was edited after its deletion is to compare deletiondate and lasteditdate

But I'm curious to see if my above reasoning holds when faced with reality.

I have added LastEditDate to the query - but it seems that this one is not shown in PostsWithDeleted: data.stackexchange.com/meta.stackexchange/query/1604264/…

In any case, the tags are shown now in the updated version - i.e., they include the changes made after the deletion:

@rene As far as I can tell, LastActivityDate and LastEditDate are not shown for the deleted post.

@MartinSleziak ah, right. that is a bummer.

But regardless of that, as you can see above, the tags in SEDE show the existing version. (I.e., they were updated in accordance with edits made after the deletion.)

I suppose I should edit the tags back to the original form at some point when we're done experimenting.

It is interesting to know that PostsWithDeletedshows the real status - not simply the tags as they were at the time of deletion.
