I got a bit fixated on the terminology of services in that last paragraph especially and didn't properly consider the question I think.

our stats are down at Area51 since last night!

Q: Area 51 stats down

The questions/day and userbase stats are pretty much trashed today. Like replaced with big zeros! Seems to affect all sites in public beta (I looked at 3) - noticed it on my regular check of Software Recommendations. Any fix in the works/timeline for fixing?

Q: Software recommendations for writing a novel?

This is my first time using Ubuntu so I'm little lost about which softwares are good in use and which are not... I have now LibreOffice and that will do for now but when my first draft is ready I'm going to need something where I can view my text one chapter or scene at the time. That really help...
