I've been looking at vote counts and they really are not what they should be I think
at least this blog post sure says it should be more
Also if we are going to get the number of 3k and 2k users more voting would be good
The reason I notice was that the votes per question/answer (either up or down) has been going way down since the public beta opened
Yes I know that is partially due to all the one post and run users but still all our regular users please remember to vote as they say Vote Early, Vote Often

@Gilles Would you mind closing the mod nomination question as a duplicate of the announcement post? I just got another nomination and we've already chosen the mods.
Also, I will applaud anyone who gives the correct explanation for my new username.
17:09
@damryfbfnetsi We're not necessarily capped at three mods. Anyone that wants to nominate themselves or another is welcome to at this point.
17:25
@damryfbfnetsi I think other sites leave the mod nomination thread open until the end of the beta. More moderators may be brought in if one of us resigns or if we need more help.
If you'd like to stop receiving notifications, we can anomymize the question

@Undo @Gilles The reason why I said that was because you said that we did not need any more moderators...
@damryfbfnetsi Not at the moment, no. But it's always nice to have an up-to-date list of folks to draw from when/if the need arrises.
Have any of you identified the correct explanation for my username? (Check my profile for a hint!)
@damryfbfnetsi I've been trying to figure it out.
but can't :P

If you look at my bio, you'll see that the "moderator" disagreed with your statement that my user name is not understandable (because it is), and he was also trying to imply that my user name stands for "declined - a moderator reviewed your flag, but found no evidence to support it"
hah!
In real life, such a flag would be "declined - flags should only used to moderators aware of content that requires their intervention"
You know I was just reading that and trying to figure out a riddle to it instead of just a plain and simple acronym
looking for complexity where there wasn't and boom I can't see what's right before my eyes!
Something like that.
oh hey since you're online @Undo: I was trying to quote a previous chat post the other day and I couldn't find how to do that (by playing around or by searching)... I'm pretty sure I saw one of you blue diamonds do that a while ago (but I'm not sure which one); do you know how?

^ Like that?
You just use a permalink to the message
yeah like that
exactly like that
1 min ago, by Gilles
@NickWilde paste a link to the message, with nothing else in the post except optionally a reply
^ Copy the permalink address, post it as a message
I knew about the permalink - I even tried it with other stuff in the post but not by itself
hmm while I got some high experience users here who can probably answer my other dumb question I might as well ask it...
proofreading badge... why don't I have it?
I've reviewed 102 suggested edits and that page says it is awarded when 100 have been reviewed
oh cool assuming rep increases at standard rate in 3-4 days I should have expanded moderation privs and can access flag queues and such
@NickWilde caching? Has it been 24 hours since your 100th suggested edit review?
22:10
@PINGALLTEHMODS anything I should be aware of when that happens - like does my vote have different weighting or anything unexpected like that?
@NickWilde no, everybody's vote has the same weight
@NickWilde the 10k flag queue is going away soon
@Gilles about 36hrs - wouldn't have asked before one site cycle had gone by

Q: Let's get rid of the 10K flag queue

Shog9The 10K tools are pretty cool... You get a birds-eye view of activity on the site, a "dashboard" view of what's happening. Some of the individual tools haven't scaled particularly well with Stack Overflow's growth, but the concept behind them is still sound: we trust you to enough to be a bee wat...

@NickWilde IIRC audits don't count. Seen any of those?
@Undo that would be the just testing you ones yes?
if so not here - about 10% of my reviews at SO have been those
22:15
yeah
hmm
@Gilles oh sounds like it is no where near as cool as it sounded ah well no loss disappearing then
(by sounded I mean in the privileges page)
ah well I'll just wait and if it hasn't given me the badge by the time I get to 120 reviews I'll look into it more
then it'll just be delayed gratification
22:41
dunno
22:57
@NickWilde I accepted your answer to the mod nomination question so that no one overlooks it
@Gilles Why did you remove the tag from my question? Isn't that @Community's job?
23:19
@damryfbfnetsi thanks :) Discovered that with the lowered rep limits and my highish rep here I can do almost all the moderation tasks anyways.
23:45
@damryfbfnetsi because I guess it's outlived its active usefulness, since we aren't currently wanting more mods
