I'll get myself tattoo'd blue while I'm at it
now look what you did
there is a space between my posts
I hope you're happy with yourself
You took too long.
I even waited before posting it.
... Okay.

Good.
So are game recs back on topic yet?
I don't know, check meta
@mods markdown doesn't work in flag reject reasons

...
that was a pretty silly mistake I made with that flag anyway
but just FYI regarding the markdown

@GnomeSlice Did they go off topic ever?
@DanteTheEgregore I think so. Didn't they?
They should have.

Q: Are video game related questions on topic?

Memor-XWhen it comes to video games, some people that I know personally don't consider them as software while I do and game recommendations are off topic on Arqade. Assuming that a user posts a detailed question would video game recommendation questions be on topic? if so would consoles be included as w...

Q: Looking for First Person, Physics based, Puzzle games

OxinaboxI recently completed Tiny and Big: Grandpa's Leftovers, a Puzzle game, that revolves around it's physics engine. The main game mechanic is being able to slice various parts of the terrain and objects, and then drag and push them around to solve puzzles. For example in one of the levels you are c...

Says they're on topic.

"Too broad"
maybe not
Well that one wasn't closed because it was a game recommendation.
@DanteTheEgregore Oh, hey, a KSP mention.
Though I do believe it should be reopened.
@FEichinger Yup. :O
My profile's kind of an absolute mess.
@DanteTheEgregore It's nice to see that people bring it up in examples like that.
I only signed up so I could spam games. =[

Honestly upon further inspection it seems the only real reason it was closed is because it was a game related question, and, as such, had no real "objective" at its core.
That and it would appear mods are now retconning community decisions.

Q: Fantasy action RPG (first/third person view) for LAN co-op

unorI want to play a fantasy action RPG together with a friend. Action RPG as in: it should not require much reading or NPC conversation; the main focus should lie on hunting/fighting and exploration. But the game should be hard. There should often be the risk to get killed in a fight if we don’t ...

That one is still open, it seems.

@DanteTheEgregore Gilles' response has a net score of 1. Clearly it's a majority vote. :/
I'm really on the fence about this one.
Because I see what they mean.
The question is "I liked this game. Give me more of the same thing."
Which is what's wrong with it.

Q: Close Quarters Realistic FPS

DanteTheEgregoreOver the years I've become a fan of realistic FPS/MilSim games such as ArmA II, ArmA III and the like. The problem is, most of the games I play take place on massive, sprawling maps that aren't very good for CQC combat. The AI is programmed to fight at this range and, most times, will begin shoot...

@DanteTheEgregore Takedown is really the only thing that comes to mind
@DanteTheEgregore Maybe Receiver too.
It's currently on sale.
I had some issues running it, but when it runs smoothly it's a pretty interesting game.
Oh Insurgency
That's a good one
I don't know if others, particularly Gilles, would consider this on topic, but, unlike the "list" question, I defined what I don't like about ArmA-like games, and what I'd like instead. Usually this type of format works better with Stack Exchange, because it has the end goal they're looking for.
Yes, Insurgency is great. O:
At least that's my view.
Receiver's great too, but I'd love to see the mechanics more fully realized and a better overall game built around them.

Q: International multi factor dns?

Ralf HaringI would like to be able to have multiple administrators in multiple countries with edit access to a domain's zone file while being protected with multi factor authentication. Thank you for your recommendations.

A repost of this:

Q: Are there any dns registrars that support admin delegation and multi factor authentication?

Ralf HaringThe recent twitter hijacking story has brought a renewed focus to dns registrars and multi-factor authentication. Are there any which support both that and account delegation? Many seem to support authentication to just one device, so the possibility of two geographically distributed people who b...

Because it looks like his question got closed here, so he removed and reposted it.
If memory serves, it's the same.
But I could be completely wrong. >.>
Anyone with enough rep to view deleted questions around?
@DanteTheEgregore he thoroughly edited his question, then deleted it and posted a new one
his edit solves the main problem that had been pointed out earlier (he was asking for a hosting service, not for software)
So the new question's on-topic and not a repost of an old off-topic one at least?
it's not a repost, and it's on-topic
but it isn't detailed enough
as you pointed out
I do like the canned comments that were posted on the meta. ^.^
21:35
Are there any Android chat apps that support Bonjour chat?
@DanteTheEgregore I don't like them much. We shouldn't just tell people “go read the guidelines”, we should also state the reasons why the question doesn't have enough information
compare:
Welcome to Software Recommendations Stack Exchange! We will need much more information to give good recommendations here. Please take a look at What is required for a question to contain "enough information"? Then please edit your question and see if you can incorporate some of these improvements. — DanteTheEgregore 11 mins ago
Authentication of administrators is independent from what the name service software. Do you have an operating system preference? Approximately how many hosts are there, how many administrators? What kind of second factor would be acceptable? Or are you looking for a service that provides this feature? As has already been pointed out to you, we do software recommendations here, not hosting recommendations; since this is a pure service rather than an application, it would be off-topic here. — Gilles 1 min ago
(I omitted the generic parts because you'd already posted them)
@Gilles True.
I do still try to post actual comments.

I just realized I forgot to read the about page and get my informed badge :(
@Seth We must shun the uninformed ones. D:
