@Izzy got a flag for u

LQ for sure. But do we give him a chance first? What's our premise here: VLC ASAP, or wait a little for a possible edit?
I mean, VLQ does not close the Q immediately. Does the flag get removed when the Q is edited?

um lets wait he was online when I left comment maybe will react fast

@danijelc The Q is just 5 min old. Give him 5 more :)

Actually maybe since we re beta we should give like sometime to new users
so idk lets agree to give some specific time frame for new user to improve answers and questions

That was my idea. Still the question: Flag nevertheless? Flagging is just "setting a mark", not "putting it down". @Gilles? Now that I've got da powerz, that's right with you modz?

8:37 PM
Point is I really dislike how AU looks with shitloads of question which could be deleted immediately so i really hope we wont become like that

Heck, so what. I VLQ that one, and VTC the other. If OP decides to improve, it can always be re-opened. Housecleaning...

kk

Wooosh!
Oh, another Woosh! goes in a few min. That LQ got a "Close" button on me in the flag queue #D

need... repz...

?

8:41 PM
@danijelc He.wantz.close.button :)

aww see how much noob I em

He.wantz.wooosh.too :)
@danijelc as you've commented on that one: ping me if OP improves, so I may revert my VTC?

kk

Tnx! Wooosh! it goes again. Hm, flags all gone :)

just since he had activity after comment but noting he will probably get close vote from me soon

8:44 PM
Haz 2 already.

That's one thing I hate. The MetaCollider™ still shows me 1 flag to be worked on. But that's the one I already did – so clicking the mark gives me an empty queue :(

actually this happen often
i believe that was since someone was faster
at leat for first posts and reopen or close votes

@Izzy the flag count only change when mods handle the flags...

other words @izzy ur work is useless :)

Q: Please update the Help Center's "What topics can I ask about here?"

JeroenThe SE podcast summary lured me to Software Recommendations. I've had a question for a while now that my gut told me would be on topic. As a moderately active SE citizen I wanted to be careful though (remembering the "no shopping list questions" mantra), so I went to the Help Center's "What topi...

Whoa whoa did the same guy really post two almost-exact-same answers here?

A: Windows Software to identify and tag MP3's BPM

Franck DernoncourtI don't use it much and the application is less mature than Traktor but rekordbox is free and also used among DJs (and has key recognition too).

@Undo Warned him already concerning quality. Was about VTC if I had that button on answers.
It is not just a link and a screenshot. Mentioning it is used by DJs was aimed at indicating the BPM is accurate, which might interest the OP. I don't feel the need to discuss other features since the OP focuses on BPM. — Franck Dernoncourt 1 hour ago
@Undo He does not feel the need to improve.

Well, I feel the need to improve them. By deleting them.
Objections?

@Undo NO! DO IT!

Wonderful.
sets to work

@Undo Au contraire! Encouragement!
I mean, how many warnings did he get?
3 alone on one of them.

11:30 PM
A bunch

@Undo actually you even do him a favour (re-gaining lost rep ;)

whoosh goes the fire
whoosh goes the fire again

wow

@Undo FireFireFire.... ooops, that would be Kindle...

11:32 PM
Sorry we kind of ran the room over here :)

Woosh! go the Caleb and Izzy :)

Oh... we just git cloned us to the other channel... #D

11:48 PM
@Izzy no entiendo. Can you rephrase that in English, or give the missing context (I read the messages before yours, it's about flagging, but I still don't understand what you're asking)?

@Gilles Needed to check again to get the context :) I was referring to the flags, now that I've got access to mod tools (2k). I try to sum up:
A new user asks a Q, missing our quality-part. I of course leave a comment in such cases, so OP can improve. No for the quiz: Flag+VTC(too broad/whatever) ASAP, or give the OP some time to react?

Flag+VTC ASAP, IMO

I mean: VTC doesn't do anything to the Q itself, and even "hold" is revertable.

We'll (try) to look at how the post was when you flagged, not how it is now.

@Undo Agree.
@Undo Just want to not cause unnecessary work for you. But trouble is: If not acted upon immediately, one forgets.

11:56 PM
I used to be playing the 'post comment and give time to respond before deleting answer' game and then found out that OPs actually receive a notification for comments left right before a mod deletes an answer. Not a 1:1 fit here, but it's an example.

Hence I thought exactly what you just proposed: Flag+VTC ASAP, IMO

@Izzy Meh, I live to handle flags. Yay flags!

@Undo OK, you asked for it :)

yay!
