I find it odd having closing privilege but lacking editing privilege..

I found that odd at first too.

@3ventic: shrug If its a good edit, it gets approved. Free rep! ;p
@DanteTheEgregore And... you didn't expect that to happen?

Q: Too broad [server] tag

leventovEven if we will narrow server only to questions about "daemon software, which responds to queries on certain system ports", while in this question: Software to collect information from employees over internet the tag is used in meaning "server-side software", it seems senseless to me. I am really new to this site, but I just asked a question (softwarerecs.stackexchange.com/questions/1855/…). Could someone, give me some good feedback? I am happy to delete my own question if it is no good, but I would prefer to get some good direction.

@SuperScript You're slightly vague on the features, but seems ok overall. Generally the more specific you can make it the better!

5:28 AM
@SuperScript: What fileformats it needs to support may be a good start
Also, don't confuse free with open source

I'm reading this, and wondering if he wants a pony with that softwarerecs.stackexchange.com/questions/1871/…

@JourneymanGeek "pony"? he wants unicorns!

@Braiam: with wings!

@JourneymanGeek is a server... I am presuming that is headless

@JourneymanGeek even after edit looks bad

he wants to run a VM

2:13 PM

a gig would be reasonable. 4gb would be sane
@Braiam: hold that for a moment ;p
yay!

@JourneymanGeek crossposting :/

Fine, baleeted.

@JourneymanGeek idk if possible at all, thing is question even after edit looks like whats best linux server distro with limited specs, as much as i read it cant see more than this in question

its quite hard to help any of such questions
yap maybe he read all links in comments I left
At moment we have 137 unanswered questions, but most of them are quite specific.. so hard for answering unless by a geek genius..

2:49 PM
yeah, I've been looking through them ;p

yep well we re again under 70 % answered but maybe it's still to early in beta

our answered rate will be always low since there's software that still doesn't exist...

@Braiam true.. true

and we may not have the right people to answer some questions yet

Probably with tiem there gona be bit less specific questions too

I have some ideas, but not enough to actually post a halfassed answer even.

3:02 PM
@JourneymanGeek that one is answerable... I think...

@Braiam: answerable, yes
