Company car drivers sometimes have to do them. I just spent an hour driving around - it wasn't a "check your mirrors every 10 seconds" type of test, just a general look at your standard of driving and see where to improve.

(I got a great report, but in the interests of fairness I should probably admit I had to do the course after bumping my car into a bollard I didn't see)

@JennyD Yeah, I've found it really interesting going through my bike test. It's forced me to take on board the changes in teaching and testing in the last 10 years, and made me brush up on a bit of theory.

Christ, that's bad. Problem is, it's totally dependent on your attitude - I've always took pride in my driving and try to learn and read how to be a genuinely better and safer driver. Others don't care in the slightest.

When he gets his license I want a second car that is in a better shape, a SUV or something else that works better on small dirt roads than the Prius.
