Is there a way to force puppet to do certain things first? For instance, I need it to install an RPM on all servers to add a yum repository (IUS Community) before I install any of the packages.
Alright, I should have rephrased that the unattractive visual of poutine is ironic considering how popular it is. I'm sure it tastes good, it's just ugly. Which is distinctly different from, say, that bowl of beetle soup that @freiheit just posted, which looks horrific and also most likely tastes horrific as well.
@RyanRies You're thinking something totally different, but still gross and egg-related. thousand year old egg is an alkaline preservation/change technique on a regular egg. Balut is an egg with a well-developed embryo that's then cooked.
@ewwhite No tasty malt recovery beverages? You haven't managed to get Goose Island as a client that sends you home with beer regularly? Maybe get in with Lagunitas' upcoming Chicago brewery? ;)
I live in a beer and wine area (north of SF), and just got back from visiting Portland, which is definitely a beer city. The hipsters both places seem to like PBR, and defend that it's so much tastier than bud, miller or coors (and don't believe that it's made in the same factory)
@Cole you're a sysadmin. You have to drink (unless you're a recovering alcoholic or on SSRIs). It's in the sysadmin faq. It's ok if you have some tequila, scotch, bourbon, brandy, wine, or whatever instead of beer. :)
@SpacemanSpiff Curious, mostly. We're already halfway there with our diet, especially in the summer. Mostly salads and small fish/pork/beef steaks on the grill that time of year. harder to keep that up in the winter with all the rain and cold.
Also hard with the kids visiting too, as they are fed a nearly-100% processed food diet by their mother.
anwway the disk check will only take finish=11886.3min on the dodgy array
which is why the nightly backups have been finishing around midday
note to self, "/proc/mdstat looks OK" != "everything is fine"
Ethics time! Is implying that I've performed a completely useless and irrelevant task that has no effect on the problem at hand when I haven't actually done it, the same as lying?
Actually, asking "can you try it again" doesn't imply anything, but people can infer what they want from it.
Why am I asking about ethics in here, you are all drunk. Happy new year!
on server 2008R2 I want to block DNS zone for specific user (so that he won`t access it on my DNS server and will go to external DNS server)
let say I change the security setting on the DNS zone and add the specific user as DENY Full Permissions.
will it block the specific user or the permissio...
