I make an effort to say "Hey, thanks for that, it works now" sincerely. Saying "Oh, it works!" is a bit like saying "Well, I didn't really think you could fix it and I thoguht I was wasting my time talking to you, so this is a pleasant surprise. Cocksucker."

But now that you mention it, I have a 2.4 and a 5Ghz "N" at home, and the iPad does the 5Ghz but the iPhone doesn't, so i guess I knew that all along and jus tnever thought about it

as an employee I would only do it if my dream job opened up somewhere - and even then I'd feel skeevy about it. I don't think it's kosher personally.
(and I'm especially appalled at that answer about "go out and do an interview every 6-12 months just to stay in practice" -- I would cut a bitch if someone did that to me. My interviews are 2-3 hours of making sure you are the right candidate, and if I waste that time on someone only to have them say "Yeah, I was just practicing my interview skills" blood would have to be shed)

Colour one too. It could print four colours, and the ribbon had to re-align for each colour, and you could print black or colour, but not both. If you had the colour ribbon in, black would simply be all four colours ontop of eachother, which was more like grey
True Story: That printer got relegated to my parents' basement to do scut work like printing tax returns. One year the kitchen drain pipe blew out and dumped about 2 gallons of tukey soup broth into the printer.
