Here's a good baby story: I have some friends who are die-hard cyclists, they biked on a tandem for their honeymoon, they got rid of all their cars years ago and have only used bikes (and very infrequently borrowed family cars) since then.
For their second kid, the mom biked to the hospital when she was having contractions, was told "no, you're not close" so she biked home, then gave birth at home an hour or so later.
