I really loved the movie, but I love that over-the-top comic book look (loved the look of Sin City, 300, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, etc) and the soundtrack was pair well with the look, created great ambience. The average person probably isn't going to be into that so much, and the story is decent, though littered with superhero/supervillian tropes.

They had all pretty bad-ass soundtracks, even if some of the plots were wonky.

@ewwhite Lync is the messenger service, but it's a converged communications platform that's server heavy... People love the functionality, your hardware budget will f-cking hate it. I've got a script that sets all calendars to be viewable by everyone else. Sharing contacts is a bit difficult

@RyanRies Those have always sucked because it was difficult to navigate properly, sign in, etc. and then when you did post a question it was often considered the wrong channel...or worse you expected a moderated response because you had an EA and never got one.

We're in a slide right now where there are less and less experts over time, more and more people asking for help without contributing.

Unfortunately the time between talent walking through the gate and them running screaming out again is shortening all the time. The net effect is less talent and answers like the one @MichaelHampton commented on earlier

One of the problems we have now is there are very few people with enough rep to do all the chores and as fewer people are being bothered to vote the number will diminish more over time

@MichelZ Heh. My girlfriend's laptop has had the BSOD a couple days in the row citing NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM. Checked the disks and the logs...it's all healthy. Even chkdsk reports nothing.

The logs did say something about Disk 1 which is an external drive...those "I/O operation retired" things.

every time you do zoning, you might have to alicreate aliasname, wwn if it's not already zoned to something. If you don't know what the wwn is, you can portshow portnumber and see what's logged into the port it's plugged into.

Once you have an alias, it's zonecreate zonename, "server_alias; storage_alias" and then cfgadd config_name, zonename

after that, a simple cfgsave and cfgenable config_name is all you need

To me it wasn't ever as reliable. I always kept losing the connection, especially with the MX keyboards. Had to "join" them together constantly. Since then I switched to the unifying "thing" from Logitech and have just used their mouse for the past 6 years.

Since using either internal bluetooth or little cheap USB dongles I haven't had an issue

I know someone who works at a company which just got bought. They told them you will all be fired in 1 year.

@cole You know, "fired=unemployement && quit=nomoney" isn't really quite right... Well, each state is different, but... Generally if you're fired for really good causes you don't get unemployment, and if you quit for really good causes you still get unemployment.

Q: CPU clarification in vCenter

So i'm running a lab on a Dell PE R410 2 X 4C 2.26Ghz, this evening I saw that vCenter is showing that the processor is @ 2.27Ghz. It's not that big of a deal but was curious as to why there is that extra 10Mhz in the stats for the server? Is there a technical reason for this that i'm missing o...

@ewwhite Turns out that (a) RHEL7 renamed "nfslock" to "nfs-lock", (b) provided a convenient symlink in the systemd stuff so that you could still "service start nfslock", (c) almost everything works identically with a symlinked service alias, and (d) except enabling (which returns an error that gives approximately no clue what's going on)

@ShaneMadden When I ran the "status" thing and saw "enabled", but "is-enabled" shows disabled and I couldn't enable it ... I didn't notice that the status says "nfs-lock.service" instead of "nfslock.service"...

@ShaneMadden Yeah, I'm fairly new to systemd and I still think I'd rather write a systemd *.service file than an init.d script...

1 drive threw a URE at the same time the other one threw a SMART predictive failure

I ended up restoring from backups
