Gah. I'm typing systemctl on EL6 systems now...
23:39
@MichaelHampton But are you doing it in the right order? systemctl $command $service ?
@84104 Of course.
Remember, I've been using systemd for years.
@MichaelHampton Weirdo.
@84104 What can I say, I like to take advantage of new technology when it's new.
What's really burning my ass tonight is, no Puppet Enterprise agent for Fedora.
@MichaelHampton It's cool. I speed too much time trying to make old stuff talk with modern stuff to have time for new.
@84104 So you're on chat from a Wyse 50, then?
23:46
@MichaelHampton Not this time. I'm phasing out the Wyse stuff for Pis running minicom.
Still probably have about a half dozen around though.
Oh, and that NT4 floppy install was for an HP Vectra.
Oh dear god.
I haven't even had a floppy drive in over 10 years.
@MichaelHampton Consult your physician? (Sorry.)
I did. Now I have a hard drive.
Tomorrow I get to worry about dovecot proxies. That's somewhat modern at least.
@MichaelHampton Just make sure it's not.. um... spinning?.. for more than 4 hours.
23:57
Fuck. If I never see an Ubuntu system again, it will be too soon.
What the fuck is this shit?

Q: How to set the fully qualified domain name in 12.04?

DrewI tried adding dns-domain domain.com to /etc/network/interfaces with no luck. When I run hostname -d I get an empty string

At this point I'm of the opinion that hosts should just be 127.0.0.1 localhost and ::1 localhost. Nothing else.
