@AChildofGod That's your opinion. My opinion is that Satan has infected a large segment of Christianity with materialism, literalism, and a fleshly mind so that it does not see the true, spiritual meaning of the Bible.

Jesus could have spoken those words of so-called "Christian" literalists and fundamentalists today, who look at the Bible and see mostly physical and material things—the letter that kills—and completely miss the spirit within the stories of the Bible: the spirit that gives life and healing.

Human "Christian" theologians have decided that it is necessary to focus almost entirely on the letter of the Bible, and ignore the spirit within it. These are precisely the people Jesus was talking about.

@AChildofGod I don't think this approach will work on anyone. I'm someone who does believe there was a global flood, but I don't try to argue the geology. Instead I try to push people on the theological implications of their position, asking them why did God seemingly want to wipe out the human race? And what it would mean if in fact he did not? Is all the world under the Noahic covenant or not? Does the Noahic Law have a global jurisdiction or not?

@AChildofGod My "local flood" answer linked above has several examples of real-world phenomena that are incompatible with a global flood. For example, in the Grand Canyon the third layer from the top is desert sandstone, while layers above and below it are from marine sediments. Proponents of "flood geology" say the entire canyon was carved by a single global flood. But how could a desert layer be deposited in the middle of a flood?
Likewise, the Gulf of Mexico has a thick layer of salt in between marine sediments. Again, proponents of flood geology claim the entire basin was deposited during the flood. Yet salt deposits are created when a body of salty water evaporates, leaving behind the salt. But how can the water have evaporated in the middle of a global flood that covered the highest mountains?
Additionally, we find layers of igneous rock in between other layers in the geological column throughout the world. We know that igneous rock is formed by volcanic eruptions. We also know that greenhouse gases such as CO2 and methane are byproducts of these eruptions.

@Child of God - The Mt. Helens Eruption "evidence" was proposed by Dr. Steve Austin. While a canyon like area was carved, it does not have the stratification or fossil evidence that places like the Grand Canyon do. This argument was solely based on the carving of a canyon and some incorrectly done radiometric dating. See here for a thorough analysis of the issues with Dr. Steve Austin's work.
It has been thoroughly debunked by numberous mainstream geologists and vulcanologists, yet for some reason this myth as this eruption as "evidence" for a global flood persists. Those in the ancient middle east believed in a flat earth and thought the entire world was just the middle east. All it would have taken for a "worldwide flood" is for a flooding of what seemed to be the known world at the time.
