Hello. Are "how do I achieve this effect (make me a tutorial)" questions ok on this side of SE?
Or should I ask about them in chat?
(namely, the problem is I have this art with white background, smoke and a solid character which is witeish. I want to get a dark background but color to alpha also makes the character partly transparent (like if I reduced opacity of the layer( and making a copy of the layer with a cutout of the character does not work because of the net divide between smoke and character where they touch)
(ping me with the answer to my doubt please, I'll see it tomorrow)
I just found out we're getting a team of students to throw work at
I heard something about it but thought they were engineering students to work on that end, instead its business students to do market research and stuff for us
Where can I buy vectors at the best price for my business of t-shirts?
I'm starting my business and I need tshirts site or sites with good vectors and with good price, can you tell me what the best option?
Got a call from someone for "Labor Law Compliance", trying to sell us labor law posters. I asked if she worked for the government and she quickly shot out 'I never said that'. I laughed and said the posters are free online, she didn't like that answer and asked 'Do you have a printer capable of printing X" x Y"?'
I said yes, she said "No you don't. Are you a printing company?"
I just called a woman that our dealer gave me permission to call, basically said "Hi I'm with such and such, John Doe at Acme said I could contact you. A publication has asked us for an editorial in the form of a case study - would it be possi..." click
She also didn't say her name when she picked up the phone so when I asked for her she got a little annoyed like I should have known it was her
cold calling is tough, but I never just straight up hang up on anyone. If I'm not interested I say so. If they continue to try and sell me something, that's when they've lost the benefit of respect
At the last job I was forced to cold call a lot. This isn't really a cold call since their dealer referred me to her. She could've at least said, "Sorry we really don't have the time." Or "Sorry, we have strict policies about giving out any sort of case study or testimonial." Instead she just hung up on someone. Its pretty unprofessional
