Hi, Everybody. I just finished a project of putting on my website the email flying journal I used to keep my family involved in what I was doing during the last few years that I flew. It's old stuff, but I highlighted the links of messages that have some detail about flying 747-100/200 aircraft. Some of you may find some of that of interest. @abelenky I hate to correct you for fear of ruining your experience and enjoyment of the site, but if you read more about aviation and more so on this site, you will find that windows create a weakness to the structure, cracked window panes need to be replaced at a cost to the airline, rubber seals and that depression actually cause drag overall to the airplane, reducing the efficiency of the airframe
@abelenky I don't think your reprimand was appropriate. I asked on meta about "armchair engineering" questions and got the overwhelming response that there's nothing wrong with them.
I'd be happy to ban them all because I think they cause a lot of bad questions and no questions I'm actually interested in, but you and I between us don't make the site's rules.
