@DanHulme OUCH!!! Guess who's having steak tonight! Here in the US we send them to a butcher for that.:)

The reason I ask is, I had a bird strike yesterday. And it cracked my windshield. I have them all the time, but, you see, I'm not a pilot. I hit them with my truck. This is the first time one cracked a windshield, though. I had one break my grille one, but that was a redtail hawk AND the rabbit he was carrying. As often as I hit them in a truck I think they would be a constant hazard for GA.

@DanHulme worst thing I ever hit was an armadillo. Thought I'd struck a boulder!

@TomMcW They're fortunately rare, but they do happen for sure.
